Spring on Low Bands from OK2IT

 Hi all,

sorry it has been a busy time over here, but I am still "work in progress".

I managed to clean up partially hamschack so I can now operate from there! What a joy. I got so lazy and used to living in the City, that I used REMOTE even from kitchen. So sitting 35m away from the schack, which is OK in winter, well, at least before I start TX....then its warm enough hihi....but I still do it from time to time, when I want piece of quiet space and coffee.

Bands are strange, yesterday I found issue with one of my verticals, either me or someone knocked out the copper bus bar, connecting the ground system and braid of coax together... altouch there was some capacitance coupling and SWR wasnt high, I do see big difference after fixing it. I did tests on websdr in VK, where I was solid S9+ on SSB 60mins to my sunset. Shows that its lack of activity, not lack of condx.Shame. Well I am still hoping that once the solar cycle "dies down" people will move to low bands and re-discover its beauty.

Managed to snap T31TTT ferom East Kiribati on 80,40,30 but didnt hear them on 160 yet. They are difficult path. Still, I do see people calling them 2 - 2.5hrs to their sunset....well....:-D Whatever.

CU on the bands.

Jiri
